Our Commitment
Conservation is not a program we run. It is the reason we exist. Every decision we make flows from a single question: does this protect the wild places we are privileged to inhabit?
Conservation in Action
Luxe Horizons directs five percent of all revenue to conservation programs at each of our properties. At Kangaroo Island, this funds the ongoing feral predator eradication program that has allowed native wallabies, echidnas, and sea eagle populations to recover. In Chilean Patagonia, it supports the puma monitoring and coexistence program run in collaboration with the Rewilding Chile Foundation.
Carbon Neutral by 2028
Both properties run on renewable energy. Solar arrays and battery storage at Southern Ocean Lodge cover over ninety percent of operational energy needs. Tierra Patagonia operates on wind energy sourced from the Magallanes region. We offset the remainder through verified carbon programs, with a roadmap to net-zero by 2028.
Wildlife Partnerships
Our naturalist guides are field scientists — ornithologists, mammalogists, marine biologists — who have chosen to share their knowledge with guests as a way of funding their research. When you walk with a Luxe Horizons guide, you are receiving a briefing from someone who has spent years studying the very ecosystem you are standing in.
The best thing we can do for conservation is ensure that people who experience wild places become advocates for them.
